books for kids

Sisters Digging
Two sisters that dig. They dig down. Waaaay down. So far down that they can’t get back up, so then they dig sideways. Sometimes they dig diagonally and sometimes they dig around. They dig so much they forget where they started. Are they headed back home? Or to somewhere else? On and on and on they dig.

Things
She’s an observer and a collector, an appreciator and a cataloger. But above all else, she’s a counter.
“Together, we’re gonna count all the way to 10,000. Get Ready!” she say ;)
With a Tree
She was planted by chance and grew by luck. She held houses and sleepovers in her limbs. And then she watched them leave. She saw entire lives and histories erased and then saw giant new sky-rises built atop them.
Hundreds of years pass in her lifetime, but she’ll be a ghost one day too.
“We loved you in our lives, and we loved you as old ghosts, we love you twice as much, now that you’re also toast”, they sing.
